How much time does it take to receive an invitation?

We know how frustrating it is to sign up to a service or application and not get to test it out right away.

Even though Routine is still in its early days, we are working very hard to provide the best experience possible. This is why we restrain ourselves from inviting everybody at once.

We have thousands of people on the waiting list and we try to invite a few hundred every week.

As an estimate, it can therefore take several months to get an invite.

How can I connect multiple accounts/calendars to Routine?

Many of you obviously want to connect multiple calendars to Routine. Even though this feature is not provided yet, it is obviously on the roadmap.

In the meantime, here is a trick many users rely on to bypass this limitation: combining all your calendars into your main Google account.

All you need to do is pick one Google account that will act as your main account e.g your professional one. Then, share with this main account your other calendars (from other Google accounts) with all the permissions: "Make changes and manage sharing".

By doing this you end up with all your calendars manageable through a single account. It does not mean the users of your organization (in this example @routine.co) can access those other calendars, they cannot!

How do I activate/deactivate calendars?

In order to control which calendars Routine displays in the app, just navigate to the Settings screen by clicking the ⚙️ icon at the bottom of the menu. Then head to Calendars and turn on and off the calendars that interest you:

Pricing

What will the pricing be in the future?

In the future, a premium plan will likely be introduced along with a team plan coming with collaborative functionalities.

However, it is our intention to always maintain a free version for non professionals to be able to use Routine and organize their life.

Will there be a special discount for students?

It is our intention to maintain a free plan for students throughout the world to use Routine.

In addition, there will likely be a discount for students to access the advanced functionalities provided by the premium plan.

Integrations

How can I import the tasks from my project management tool (Asana, Trello, Notion etc.)?

A number of third-party services are supported for which Routine automatically imports tasks or, sometimes, synchronizes with. The list of services is available in

.

If the service you would like to use is not supported yet, you can take a look at Zapier which supports 3000+ applications. Since Routine integrates with

, you may be able to integrate your favorite app indirectly.

You can activate an integration by opening Settings (the ⚙️ icon in the menu) and selecting Integrations. Follow the steps to set up your integration of your choice from there.

Why can't I star or block time for tasks that have been imported from Notion?

For the sake of simplicity, we decided not to store any information outside of the Notion task itself. This is why, when setting up the Notion integration, you are asked to add a property to your database to hold the date for which the task has been scheduled in Routine.

We could have done the same and asked that you create another property to hold the starring state, the blocked time etc. but we thought it was too much, at least for now.

We will likely re-evaluate this soon as more services get integrated.

Why can't I open a Notion task like any other Routine task?

Opening a task allows you to add a description to a task as well as making it recurrent etc.

We decided to keep the integration simple for now. As such, if you open a Notion task in Routine, you will be redirected to Notion, allowing you to inspect its description and interact with the task through Notion's specific features.

We felt this made more sense than allowing you to open the task as it would have led you to an empty view, unable to view and edit the task description which lives in Notion.
