Presentation

Routine’s Gmail integration allows users to turn emails into tasks that can be operated in Routine as any other task.

As such, one can easily schedule a Gmail task for a specific day or even postpone it to a later week for reconsideration. If the email is important, one can also block time in her calendar by drag & dropping it for instance.

Also, once imported, the user can easily navigate back to the email by clicking the Gmail logo icon next to the Routine task.

Set Up

Firstly, go to Settings and Integrations. There you will find the Gmail integration:

Click the toggle to activate the integration. You will be brought to your default browser to authenticate, granting Routine read-only access to Gmail:

💡
Note that Routine cannot edit, change or alter any information from your Gmail account.
🔒
Routine will not use your Gmail data for anything else that what is indicated here, which is converting the emails you specifically star into Routine tasks.

Once authenticated, the Gmail integration will be displayed as enabled:

From that point on, whenever you star an email in Gmail, a task will be created in Routine:

Note however that it may take a 2-3 minutes for the task to appear in Routine.
